Upon completion, this U-turn will relax the traffic situation from Gurugram to Ambience mall and DLF Phase 3 besides saving time for the commuters. Travellers from Gurugram will be able to take this U-turn to go towards these malls while avoiding the travel to Rajokri in Delhi. This will save them from an additional 4-kilometer drive. Thereby, it is expected to cut the extra time and save commuter's money as well.

An officer from the NHAI said, "The total height with Vertical Clearance has been kept five and a half meters. LED lights will be installed for proper lightning inside the underpass. Along with this, the plantation will be done between Signage Board and Dividers in the Underpass under the Indian Roads Congress (IRC) rules,"
As per the reports, this underpass is about 377 metres long, whereas the width of the entire stretch, including the access road, is around 1.5 kilometres. In addition to this, the length of the service roads is approximately 559 metres while its width is 7 metres.
Construction undertaken on a cost-sharing basis
National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and the Government of Haryana, DLF, Ambience Mall and Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) shared the construction cost amongst themselves. Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways green flagged the construction under this project in the cost-sharing ratio of 75:25 between the aforementioned authorities.
Though the deadline for the completion of this underpass was September 4, 2020, reportedly, the project was delayed due to unavoidable circumstances. Further, the Supreme Court's ban on construction to curb air pollution was imposed in November 2019, hampering the planned course of action. Additionally, the lockdown enforced due to the COVID-19 pandemic also adversely affected the plans. Now, they are being revived to make sure that the facility is commissioned at the earliest.
