Jaipur Airport assures quick & safe transportation of pandemic essentials!
Leading the COVID fight as a frontrunner, Jaipur Airport has played a major role in assuring secure and hastened delivery of medical essentials. As per reports, Jaipur Airport authorities have managed the transportation of 20.59 tonnes of COVID-19 vaccines between May 1 and June 9. Giving out this information on Monday, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) also apprised about a range of other welfare works undertaken by the airport officials.

Hit hard by the second wave of the pandemic, various regions across India were faced with a dire imbalance between the demand and supply of medical necessities, including oxygen. During the period, over 100 airports administered by the Airport Authority of India, committed their efforts to resolve the situation. Amongst them, Jaipur Airport worked on a number of initiatives to aid the medical infrastructure.
As a part of this, the Indian Air Force ferried nine oxygen tankers from the Jaipur Airport to the Jamnagar Airport between April 26 and May 16. Additionally, a large amount of COVID vaccines, over 500 oxygen concentrators, over 42 boxes of oximeters, COVID-19 detection and vaccination kits and black fungus medicines, were also transported from the Jaipur Airport in the last two months.

In wake of the pandemic, the Jaipur Airport authorities are making sure that all instructions issued by the central and territorial administration are followed to assure the safety of commuters. Subsequently, both the airport staff and travellers are regularly asked to ensure COVID appropriate behaviour and social distancing guidelines. Besides, electronic and permanent displays are being used to spread awareness about the pandemic.
Assuring the safety of the employees, the airport administration has also conducted focussed vaccination schedules for its workers. As per reports, a large count of beneficiaries has benefitted through the nine schedules organised to date.
