Besides this, a 'Fruit Gandhi Vatika' (garden) will be developed at the Weekend Home Nayla. Around 20 thousand trees will be implanted at the City Park in Jaipur to cultivate a special 'Oxy Hub' here, read reports.

This centre will house oxygen-rich plants like Neem and Peepal, he further informed. Similarly, the Gandhi Vatika Commissioner informed that the fruit garden at the Weekend Home Nayla, will feature mango, chikoo, jamun, lemon and mulberry plants among others. As per the scheme advancement, this centre will be at the Central Park, MGD Weekend Home, Nayla Yojna. Initially, around 150 fruit flowering plants and trees will be planted here.

Attempt to mitigate the effects of climate change

The Rajasthan Board has prepared to aggregate unique topiary type of ornamental plants from India and abroad to propel this campaign. Along with these, fruit-flowering trees of Neem, Gulmohar, Shisham, Arjuna, Peepal, Mollsari, Bottlebrush, Termanilia Metallica, Bougainvillea, Tecoma, Champa, Mango with Erythrina, Mulberry, Jamun and Lemon will also be planted.

The board has decided to plant these trees 10 to 15 feet apart, to ensure their rapid and optimum growth. This drive will help to achieve an environmental balance while promoting ornamental beauty and greenery in Jaipur.
