A move to empower the next generation of women as potential leaders and trail-blazers, this was the fifth edition of this challenge in India. Maheshwari paved her way to success through a minute-long video, where she spoke about the ways in which youth can support the war against climate change. Currently pursuing her Bachelor's in Physical Sciences from the Miranda House, University of Delhi, she aspires to join the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in the future.
Speaking to Knocksense, Aditi said, "It was a very nice experience for me. I had a great interaction with many learned diplomats, politicians and young leaders. I got a lot of insights on climate change and gender and how we cannot solve one issue without solving the other."

Posing as UK's top diplomat in India, Aditi experienced a broad range of diplomatic activities on Friday. During the one-day stint, she observed the India-UK Energy for Growth Dialogue. Additionally, the day also included a hands-on demonstration of the I-PACE - Jaguar's zero-emissions, an all-electric performance SUV. This vehicle is expected to be used by world leaders at the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow, next month.
"She met the beneficiaries of a leadership programme for aspiring female politicians funded by the Chevening Alumni Programme Fund, climate experts from the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), and young leaders from the not-for-profit Global Youth," said the British High Commission.
Knock Knock
Empowering young girls is very crucial to support the ideals of women empowerment. It is through initiatives like these, that we ensure a brighter and better tomorrow for the budding generations. Taking a cue from the British High Commission, similar plans should be implemented by other organisations as well.
