After progressing with the learning license, passing the test is mandatory for all to get a permanent driving license in the state. Now, lectures on techniques of driving and tutorials on traffic rules and regulations will also be forwarded to the learners. As per the Divisional Transport Officer, lessons on automatic testing driving track will be imparted to the test takers through videos, thereby preparing the trainees before they take this test.

Reportedly, about 52 to 55% of people fail while driving on the tracks, laid according to the international standards. The lack of authentic information about driving on these particular tracks is said to be a major cause of this failure. In view of this, the upcoming campaign was developed with the help of the principal of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation's Model Driving Training and Research Institute, Vikas Nagar.

To ensure transparency in the testing system, Kanpur had started the state's first automatic driving track in the Panki region, last year. The track is equipped with CCTV cameras and sensors. Once the test is complete, the computer screens showcase pass or fail, depending on the result.

Reportedly, the track will also house two LED screens soon, where those undertaking the test will receive training lessons through descriptive videos. As per the reports, one of these screens will be dedicated to two-wheelers while the other one will impart lessons on four-wheelers. With this scheme, the authorities have tried to streamline the process for the benefit of applicants.
