Cyclone Tauktae soon expected to influence weather conditions in Kanpur & other nearby districts

Cyclone Tauktae is soon expected to reach the districts of Kanpur Division- Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Etawah, Auraiyya, Kannauj and Farrukhabad. As per the weather forecasts from experts at Kanpur's CSA University, Kanpur Division and other UP districts are set to observe fast winds and rainfall around 18 May due to this cyclone. Currently showing its effects in Mumbai, it is predicted that Cyclone Tauktae shall influence temperature, humidity and other weather conditions across the country.

Weather scientists from the Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology have predicted that Cyclone Tauktae might affect Kanpur Division and other UP districts. It has also been stated that in the upcoming days, these districts may experience rainfall and winds roaring at a speed between 30-35 kmph.

As per reports, Dr. Sunil Pandey of CSA University had stated that weather shall remain dry and a rise in temperature will be observed on 16 and 17 May. The effects of this cyclone will be observed across Kanpur Division and other UP districts by 18 May. During this time, rainfall between 15 mm to 30 mm can be observed in all the districts of the Kanpur Division.

Tauktae threat magnified across India

Tauktae has diffused all active weather instruments across the country, which has only magnified the threats posed by this cyclone. It is expected that Tauktae shall reach the shores of Gujarat by 18 May, before the arrival of the monsoon. Further, due to this storm, Kerela, Karnataka, Goa, Konkan and Lakshadweep are experiencing mid to heavy showers.
