LU opens online access to its libraries; Sets up anti-plagiarism panel for PhD students
Lucknow University recently jumped 80 spots up to reach 115th in the NIRF Rankings 2023. But the university doesn't seem to rest on its laurels, now adding a couple of more upgrades. This will include simplifying access to their Library for both its students and teachers while setting up an anti-plagiarism panel for its PhD students.
Lucknow University's Library boasts over 13k books
The Lucknow University Library will now be open online to all the students and teachers. It is noteworthy that the library boasts a rich collection, featuring 13,000+ books and nearly 10 databases. With this new facility, students and faculty at LU will be able to gain remote access to research papers, e-books, and journals from the comfort of their homes.
Also, this will give students the opportunity to carry on with their research and take references even when the university is closed. Furthermore, students will be issued digital library cards that they can use to seek information via the internet.
Saying "No" to plagiarism for Doctoral Students
Lucknow University has also decided to take a step against plagiarism in today's world of generative Artificial Intelligence. In this regard, LU has decided to set up an anti-plagiarism panel each for its doctoral students, one for each department.
This step has been taken to retain research integrity for the students at the university. It is noteworthy that the anti-plagiarism panel, comprising of the head of department and two teachers nominated by them, will go through each PhD theses with a fine tooth comb.
