Weather Update | More rain to follow as Met Department issues orange alert in Kanpur

The meteorological department has issued the orange alert in Kanpur and several other districts across UP. Notably, Kanpur witnessed heavy rain in several areas yesterday and intense rainfall is expected to continue today, as well.

This delayed rainfall in Kanpur can cause waterlogging problems while also coming as a hinderance for farmers as the 'Kharif' harvesting season is currently underway.

However, this spell of rain will also benefit the 'Rabi' crops. As for the AQI level in Kanpur, it is currently hovering in the 'Moderate' category at 86.
