The sudden cool breeze that gradually turned into a light drizzle transformed into beautiful weather in Lucknow, leaving us all in awe. Bestowing upon us hill-like climatic conditions, it gives us another reason to go on long, unwinding drives and indulge in everyone's favorite pakoda and chai.

We hope that this weather change lasts for a few more days, given that it has already lasted for two days in a row.

Rain induced weather in Lucknow

Lucknow received fresh showers as early as 7:00 am on March 17. The state capital is likely to remain cloudy throughout the day and winds will blow as fast as 40 kilometers per hour in the city. In the same vein, the temperature will hover between 20 to 31 degree Celsius while the sky will remain party cloudy.

The western disturbance-induced rains did provide respite from high temperatures in Lucknow, however sent farmers scrambling to protect their crops.

IMD has issued rain alerts for Lucknow, Prayagraj, Amethi, Barabanki, Bareilly and 15 more cities of Uttar Pradesh. Further, some parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh even received snowfall. After rains lashed several parts of the country, the weather office on March 16 had advised farmers to postpone harvest.
