With the Kumbh Mela round the corner, the Indian Railways has decided to resume the services of Prayagraj Sangam-Haridwar Express Special and Janata Express train, which were suspended until now due to the wide-spread coronavirus. Including the Lucknow Railway Station in its circuit-map, these trains will provide easier means of commute to several devotees from the city who are planning to visit the Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2021.

In a bid to provide the people with eased travel facilities, the Indian Railways has decided to extend several trains to Rishikesh ahead of the Kumbh Fair 2021. These will ensure that people are able to safely travel to attend the fair, amid the widespread threat of the coronavirus infection.

Know the schedule:

As per reports, the Prayagraj Sangam Haridwar Special has been scheduled to run thrice a week from Prayagraj. The schedule has been drafted to flag off the train at 11:35 PM from the Prayagraj on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, starting January 10, 2021. Mapping through Pratapgarh, Amethi and Rae Bareli, the rail carriage will arrive at the Lucknow Railway Station at 5 AM.

Similar services will also be flagged off from Rishikesh every Wednesday, Friday and Monday from January 11. With departure slated at 3:20 PM, the train will ply till Prayagraj, reaching the station at 7:25 AM.

More services on tracks will ensure that safe social distance among the people, during transit. People are requested to undertake all precautions while embarking on their journey for the Kumbh, to maximise both personal safety and of accompanying travellers.
