With the Bada Mangal festivities in full swing across Lucknow, it's officially 'bhandara' season in the capital. Organizers feed thousands of people every Tuesday and Saturday with a variety of foods, including puri sabzi, boondi, Rooh Afza, and even pasta and noodles in many places.

One bhandara organizer, however, has taken a unique approach. Badriprasad Agnihotri, the owner of the Plant House Nursery in Aliganj, is distributing plants for free at today's bhandara, right outside his nursery in Lucknow.

At this distinctive bhandara in the Purania area, all you need to do is write your name and contact number on a piece of paper and take home two plants of your choice! And then...

Maintain your plants well & get rewarded with 5 more!

The owner of Plant House Nursery, Badriprasad Agnihotri, initiated this project with climate change concerns in mind. He believes the responsibility to protect our planet lies with us, and we can contribute by making small efforts.

To further motivate people to take home plants from his bhandara, Mr. Agnihotri has introduced a competition. If someone maintains the plants they take home for up to three months, they will receive five more plants for free from Plant House Nursery.

Today is the last day of Bada Mangal, so it’s your final chance to get your favourite plants for free. Head to the Plant House Nursery in Aliganj and do your part to protect nature.
