The 10th edition of the Lucknow Book Fair, which started on March 17, has witnessed a massive footfall with bibliophiles in Lucknow rushing to re-stock their bookshelves. Visitors to the fair will also get to see cultural performances
The theme for the 10th edition of the Lucknow Book Fair is 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam', One Earth, One Family, One Future, which is also the theme of the ongoing G20 meetings under India's presidency. Those visiting the fair will get to see a slew of cultural performances on the same theme. Visitors can also participate in slogan writing, story writing and quiz competitions.
Stalls by top publishers from across the country
An absolute delight for book-lovers in Lucknow, the book fair has around 30 stalls from prominent Indian publishers. These include Hyderabad's Aksharabhyas, Delhi's Sasta Sahitya Mandal, Rampur's Raza Library and Mumbai's Amar Chitra Katha among others. Furthermore, the book fair goes beyond the border as well, with a stall by Nepal's Osho Tapoban.
As for the variety of titles on offer, this book fair in Lucknow houses stalls featuring everything from manga and comics to fiction, non-fiction and a number of magazines. What's more? All the books here are available at a minimum discount of 10%.
Visitors can also exchange books at a nominal price
