Commute stress-free this Holi: 2065 additional UPSRTC buses to operate on March 7 & 8
This season of colours, you needn't worry about commuting to and fro from your relative's place, after celebrating Holi. Why? Because the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has announced the operation of 2065 additional buses across Uttar Pradesh.
The added UPSRTC buses will be functional on March 7 and 8 to ensure affordable, safe, and streamlined commute options for the public. The vehicles are slated to run across 20 busy and populated areas of the state, including Lucknow, Kanpur and other locations, to tackle the festive rush.
An action plan for Holi
A meeting was conducted where an action plan, specifically revolving around the festival of Holi, has been prepared. Herein, it was decided that 100% of the buses will run on roads to ensure that passengers are able to travel on the day. Sadly for employees, none will be allowed to take a holiday on the D-day, with certain urgent exceptions.
A total of 140 buses will be in Prayagraj, 60 in Lucknow, 60 in Kanpur, 200 in Itawa, 150 in Moradabad, 50 in Bareilly, 250 in Ghaziabad, 40 in Devi Patan, 50 in Azamgarh, 140 in Meerut, 60 in Ayodhya, 40 in Varanasi, 300 in Gorakhpur, 65 in Aligarh, 150 in Noida, 40 in Jhansi, 100 in Agra, 60 in Hardoi, 60 in Chitrakut, 50 in Saharanpur, among other places.
The aforementioned action plan, is expected to provide multiple travel options for commuters. The buses will ply on numerous routes, providing comfortable travel.
