Enhancing immunization rates, vaccination campaign to kick off in Lucknow from Aug 14
Contributing to the Mission Indradhanush of Ministry of Health and Family welfare, the UP State Health Department has undertaken a massive vaccination campaign targeting children and pregnant women.
For this, a comprehensive survey of 2.76 lakh households has been conducted to identify the beneficiaries. As a result of this survey, 799 pregnant women have been earmarked for vaccination.
The comprehensive vaccination drive will continue till October 14
The announcement regarding the vaccination campaign was made during a meeting held by the UP Health Department. The vaccination drive under the Mission Indradhanush will further be carried in 3 phases. The first phase will run from the August 7 to 12, followed by the second phase between September 11 to 16.
Finally, the third phase will be implemented between October 9 to 14. Furthermore, the details of those vaccinated will be recorded on the e-kavach portal.
In campus e-rickshaw facility to start in Balrampur Hospital
Now, critically ill patients admitted to Balrampur Hospital's emergency will seamlessly be transported to the ICU in e-rickshaws. The e-rickshaws will have arrangements to carry stretchers and oxygen cylinders.
The objective is to facilitate the swift and efficient transfer of seriously injured and ill patients from the emergency ward to the ICUs at Balrampur Hospital. These patients require immediate attention and treatment, which are only available in the ICUs.
Manual transportation can lead to delays, consuming valuable time crucial for providing prompt medical care. By utilizing e-rickshaws, the hospital aims to ensure a smoother and faster transfer of critically ill individuals, allowing them timely access to intensive care facilities for necessary treatment.
