We all have that one kurta we keep returning to. Not only is it comfortable, but you enjoy how it makes you feel—uncomplicated and free. Well, this feeling is what Sutaara is delivering! Their pieces are like your trusted emotional support, with easy-breezy style, and high-quality fabrics.
The good news is that Sutaara is returning to Lucknow for an exhibition at Kisan Bazar‘s Melting Point on July 21, and here is all you need to know:
Why Sutaara?
Sutaara is one of those designer labels that has carved its own niche among people who take satisfaction in wearing creations that are consciously-made. Their clothes are like a breath of fresh air, sans the usual chaos. Founded by Saumya Trivedi and joined by her mother Sangeeta Trivedi, Sutaara aims to create one-of-a-kind, timeless pieces that celebrate India's traditional craftsmanship.
In a conversation with Knocksense, Saumya Trivedi passionately shared, “Sutaara is a woman’s dream for a woman. For me, this is more than just a business; it is immersing myself back into the roots of our rich heritage, collaborating with talented artisans, and living my passion.” Truly inspirational!
A summery, easy-breezy collection!
At the heart of the collection lie handwoven cotton, linen, chanderi, and Banarasi silk, tissue, modal, and mulmul—perfect canvases for intricate Chikankari, block printing, and delicate hand embroidery. Embracing a summery vibe, hues like smoke blue, blush, yellow, soft brown, and green breathe life into each garment, whether it's a saree, suit, or dupatta. Trust us, Sutaara does not disappoint!
Our picks from the collection include 6 yards of stunning Maheshwari sarees, celebrating the timeless grandeur of Madhya Pradesh. The organically-dyed Chikan suits and dupattas offer endless mix-and-match possibilities for your ethnic wardrobe, pairing effortlessly even with that blue denim jeans. Also, don't miss the allure of chanderi cotton sarees and suits—minimalist yet captivating enough to make a statement wherever you go.
