An extension of the 'Ayushman Yojna', the Uttar Pradesh administration has made arrangements to provide a golden card to over 6.5 crore beneficiaries here. The government spokesperson said that the state cabinet has also decided to link over 40 lakh Antyodaya Card-holder families in UP to the Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna.

This plan is set to usher a major economic relief to the poor and underprivileged people with regard to medical bills. Besides, it will also open up several avenues of quality health services for the people. People can credit the benefit of the scheme in any of the private or government hospitals listed under the programme.

This scheme is a big step forward in developing the nation into a welfare state, that covers one's healthcare and wellbeing. The two schemes, 'Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya' at the national level and the 'Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana' in the state, are being implemented with the same objective.
