Here are the evaluation criteria for 10th & 12th grade students of the UP Board!
The Uttar Pradesh government released the set of guidelines for marking the students of 10th and 12th standards, after the UPSMP board examinations were cancelled. As per reports, the pupils of grade 10 will be assessed based on a 50-50 rule while the 50-40-10 formula will be deployed for marking the students of class 12. It is noteworthy that the annual board examinations for graduating school students have been disrupted for the second year in a row!

In view of the ongoing pandemic, students enrolled under Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad and various other state and national education boards, have been exempted from sitting for board examinations. Thereafter, the marking scheme was laid out on Sunday after the state government approved it. Here are the evaluation criteria-
For class 10 students-
As per the rules, the pupils of class 10th will be marked using a 50-50 technique. Their aggregated score will be finalised giving an equal weightage of 50% to the marks achieved in class 9th and 10th pre-board exams, each.
For class 12 students-
In order to mark the students of class 12th, 50-40-10 formula will be deployed. As a part of it, 50% weightage will be given to class 10th marks while the scores of class 11th and class 12th pre-board exams will account for 40% and 10%, respectively, in the sum total.

Given the current chaos, the Chief Minister has declared that there will be no merit lists this year. Further, if any student wishes to improve his score, he will be given another chance by conducting an exam after the pandemic diffuses. As per reports, the UP government announced this, assuring fair chances of betterment for all students. Reports state that the Intermediate Education Act, 1921, will have to be amended before the declaration of results because it mandates written tests.
