Highest number of students from a state university to clear the exam
The above numbers are also some of the highest across all Indian state universities.
Among the students, Sudhanshu Bajpai, a humble farmer's son, spoke about the importance of his family's role in his success. He shared, "The credit for my success goes to my father Arvind Bajpai, mother Nisha Bajpai and brother Deepanshu Bajpai, who is in UP Police.”
In the regard, Head of LU’s geology department Professor Dhruv Sen Singh expressed, “Over 35 students from the university have cleared the Combined Geo-Scientist Mains exam. Since the department’s inception in 1942, this is the maximum number of candidates who have cleared UPSC examination in a year.”
