In some thrilling news for motorsport enthusiasts in the country, India's first MotoGP racing event is all set to take place this year on Sept 22 and Sept 23. The venue for the event will be the Buddha International Circuit in UP's Greater Noida.

The foundation for this racing event in Uttar Pradesh was laid a few months ago in a meeting between the CEO of the company that holds MotoGP rights and the UP Chief Minister and Union Sports Minister.

The event is expected to invite huge investments to UP as well

Apart from being a big-ticket motorsport event, MotoGP in UP will also mean that a whopping 276 brands will be present during the 2-day event, giving UP's tourism sector a new lease of life.

Furthermore, the state administration has also made the decision to distribute One District, One Product hampers at the event. This will be an attempt to make the attendees familiar with the ambitious development schemes brewing in the state.

It is noteworthy that the Indian race promoter Fairstreet Sports (FSS) had signed a MoU with MotoGP officials in last September. And this year's Grand Prix (GP) motorcycle racing event might be the first in many more to come in the near future.
