Knock Knock

Uttar Pradesh has an incentive-based policy when it comes to filming in the state and it is definitely a reason for filmmakers to pitch a tent here. Back in February 2018, the UP government introduced a major change in the state's filming policies.

The shift happened when the government announced that any film being shot in UP using any "Indian Language" including Hindi, English and other regional languages, will receive a subsidy of ₹50 lakh. Further, according to the updated laws, any film shot in the state would also receive back the GST charged on the shooting and film distribution process. UP also has a ton of other subsidies and benefits which are aimed at attracting filmmakers and production houses.

Satyameva Jayate 2 will hit the halls on May 12, 2021 and reportedly, it will be bigger and better than the 2018 original.
