Knocksense Shorts | Infosys to set up a Makers Lab at AKTU, equipped with AI, Robotics, IoT & more
In order to make students acquainted with modern technology and better equipped with advanced fields like AI, IoT and more, Infosys will be setting up a Makers Lab at AKTU. Touted to be the first in Uttar Pradesh, this lab will have Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of things and 3D Printers at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU).
The Makers lab can be used by students from class 6 to postgraduates, and will have courses on tech, non-tech, business communication and scientific subjects. "Students will be able to give shape to their projects in this lab and will not have to pay any fee for this. About 19,000 online courses will be at their disposal," informed AKTU pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Manish Gour.
A three-member group of experts from the IT giant Infosys identified space at the university for the lab that will be built by December this year. The company has taken responsibility, with the help of CSR fund, of establishing and operating the lab. Infosys experts will also guide the students.
