3,517 new cases reported in Lucknow on Wednesday
With 3,517 new cases reported on Wednesday, the surge in COVID cases continues in Lucknow. This has brought up the total number of active cases in the city to 16,943. According to the daily health bulletin released by the administration, one casualty related to coronavirus was also marked in the city on January 19. Amid the rising COVID cases, 3,395 COVID patients mark their recovery in Lucknow on Wednesday. With the addition marked on January 19, the cumulative count of recoveries in Lucknow every since the outbreak of the pandemic has reached 2,45,783 cases. On the other hand, adding the single case of fatality recorded on Wednesday, a total of 2,654 people have succumbed to this viral disease in the city, so far.
UP witnesses more recoveries than fresh cases

As per reports, the fresh COVID caseload reached a total of 17,776 cases in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday while 20,532 patients marked their recoveries in the state during the same time. Nearing the 1-lakh mark, the active case count of the state has climbed to 98,238 cases, as of January 19.
Notably, apart from Lucknow, a single fatality was reported in Agra, Meerut, Farrukhabad, Etawa, Bagpat and Pratapgargh each. With 7 additions marked across the state on Wednesday, the cumulative death toll of Uttar Pradesh summed up to a total of 22,990 cases on Wednesday. Meanwhile, adding the number of recoveries marked since the onset of the pandemic, the accruing figures of recovery in the state have shifted to 17,60,800, to date.
