With 1705 fresh cases, daily COVID graph in Lucknow marks a spike again!
After marking a decline in daily figures for two consecutive days, Lucknow marked a slight increase in daily covid cases by reporting 1,705 new cases in the last 24hours. However, with 2,410 recoveries marked on the same day, the active caseload in the capital city came down to 11,570 cases. Read on to check the status of coronavirus in Lucknow.
No death reported in Lucknow on Friday

According to the daily health bulletin released by the administration, with the addition marked on Friday, a total of 2,72,239 people infected with COVID have recovered in Lucknow ever since the onset of the pandemic. With no death reported due to this viral disease in the city on Friday, the COVID death toll of Lucknow remained fixed at 2,662, as of January 29.
However, 25 cases of fatality were marked in other parts of the state on the same day. Notably, 8338 new cases of coronavirus were reported across Uttar Pradesh on Friday.
Vaccination drive in Lucknow

As per the data available on the coWIN, out of the total 25,79,12,787 doses of vaccines administered in Uttar Pradesh ever since the beginning of the vaccination drive against COVID, 71,78,344 jabs have been dispensed so far, in Lucknow alone. With 174 vaccination centres active across the city, beneficiaries can now get the jab without prior registration in the city.
According to reports, 30,46,758 people belonging to the age group of 18 and above are fully vaccinated in the state, as of January 29. Apart from this, 66,151 people in the city have also taken the booster shot which is known as a precaution dose in India. A nationwide drive to innoculate adolescents aged 15-17 was initiated earlier this month to ensure the safety of children against this virus. So far, 2,29,369 children have taken at least a single jab against COVID in Lucknow.
