Launched under the ambit of LDA Master Plan 2031, this new rule will make it easier for people in the city to develop their residential property into a commercial outlet. Anyone who is interested in changing the status of their building can visit the LDA office and file an application for the same.
The LDA will charge a fee that will be different for different properties, based on the area that they cover. While filing for the change, owners of the property will have to file an affidavit proving that the building is owned by them.
In addition to this, the government body also took some other decisions in the board meeting that was held on January 12. According to reports, the LDA will grant licenses to private construction firms for the development of the Mohan Road housing project. The developers will be granted the license for a fee which will be set by the development authority of the city.
