Lucknow News | Here's an update on the much-awaited Khurram Nagar Flyover
If you've been grappling with the daily traffic snarls and diversions along Lucknow's Sitapur Road due to the ongoing flyover construction, there's finally some good news on the horizon!
The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is making impressive strides with the ambitious Khurram Nagar Flyover project. Excitingly, the section connecting Indira Nagar Sector 25 to Tedhi Pulia is now 70% complete, while the stretch from Munshi Pulia to Polytechnic has already reached 80%.
Sector 25 to Tedhi Pulia section
The latest update on this project reveals significant progress at the beginning of the flyover near Section 25, including the construction of the road for material transportation. Efforts are now focused on completing the Tedhi Puliya end of the flyover, with substantial work also underway in the mid-section near the Kukrail Reserve forest (in front of Smriti Vihar park).
This 4-lane flyover, a first in the state, utilizes V-shape columns for construction. While the project's Detailed Project Report (DPR) initially targeted completion by December 2024, the current status suggests that due to remaining pending work, completion may extend into the first quarter of 2025.

Upon completion, the entire corridor from Polytechnic to Tedhi Pulia will offer uninterrupted, congestion-free connectivity for both regular traffic and heavy vehicles, particularly during late hours.
