DRMLIMS to soon see a foot-over bridge connecting main campus to the academic block
In a novel development, a foot-over bridge (FoB) is in the works at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow. This bridge will connect DRMLIMS' main campus to the academic block, making it easier for the students and faculty to commute.
The construction of the same is budgeted at ₹4.56 crore, for which the first installment (half the sum) has been released by the State.
DigiYatra introduced at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport
On the lines of Delhi, Bengaluru and Varanasi airports, Lucknow's Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport has now rolled out DigiYatra, a fully biometric-based self-boarding system, for two airlines initially. For a seamless travel flow, from registration to boarding, these digital services can be availed at entry, pre-security check and boarding points. 70 beds increased in cancer institute
As many as 70 new beds have been added in the Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute and Hospital in Lucknow. The number of patients in the Cancer Institute's OPD have also increased from 150 to over 300. While emergency services are running 24 hours, about 20 beds have been extended in the Radiation Oncology department.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall to continue till Saturday in UP districts
Monsoons and constant rains have brought both relief and chaos to the city locals. The rain spell, that began on Tuesday, will continue till Saturday, as per the Meteorological Department. Heavy to very heavy rain has also been forecasted in various districts of Western UP, Awadh region and Purvanchal.
