UP Anganwadis to upgrade under UNICEF's new scheme
In collaboration with UNICEF, the anganwadis in Uttar Pradesh (UP) will undergo essential upgrades, with a primary focus on enhancing the educational development of children. This initiative, known as the Anganwadi Kayakalp scheme by UNICEF, aims to improve the accessibility of quality education for children.
Under this scheme, the Uttar Pradesh government and UNICEF will jointly enhance the educational framework of anganwadis to better serve children under the age of 6.
UP's first driving and traffic research school to be inaugurated soon
The upcoming school in Rae Bareli will offer admissions to individuals interested in learning to drive. Additionally, this institute will operate under the supervision of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (MoRTH) and will regularly conduct research on improving traffic systems, led by experts from the institute.
Furthermore, visitors will have the opportunity to enrol in specialised driving courses, which have been developed in collaboration with Tata Motors.
Private hospitals registered for Ayushman Bharat scheme to use 'Green Payment Channel'
All 1,242 private hospitals in Uttar Pradesh participating in the Ayushman Bharat scheme have been granted access to a 'Green Payment Channel'. Under this system, hospitals receive 50% of their claim amount immediately upon bill submission, but their billing practices are closely monitored for any irregularities.
Artificial intelligence is employed to scrutinize bills for errors, and if any issues are detected, they are flagged. For instance, if two bills have the same patient's name within a short period or if a hospital bills different amounts for similar treatments, AI will raise concerns.
Nation Book Fair to re-return in Lucknow from Sep 22
Bibliophiles in the city will have the opportunity to access a wide range of books, magazines, and other merchandise at discounted prices as the National Bookfair returns. The fair is scheduled to take place in Hazratganj's Balrampur Garden from September 22 to October 2. During the annual Ganesh Utsav celebration in the city, Lucknow Police will implement traffic restrictions near Jhulelal Vatika for ten days. During the evening and peak puja hours, commuters from Hazratganj and Parivartan Chowk will be redirected away from Hanuman Setu. They can use Maqbara Road - CDRI as an alternative route to reach their destination.
