Ahead of the actual roll-out of the coronavirus vaccine and the immunisation drive in Lucknow, the officials have directed all recognised centres to complete their preparations by January 15. The state has appointed nodal officers for each vaccination centre who will look after the arrangements underway there. Officials have also stated that the entire inoculation process will be monitored through live feeds stationed at all centres. The Integrated Covid Contol and Command Centre will surveil all vaccination points with the help of CCTV cameras.

This will help the state to recognise any faulty practice or slip in the enforced protocols established to execute the process glitch-free. As per the statements, all people involved in the immunity drive, including the healthcare officers, accessory workers and beneficiaries, have to follow the issued COVID-19 protocols. This involves the practice of maintaining safe social distance and wearing face masks.

According to the drive layout, each vaccination centre will have 3 rooms, which will protocol the immunisation process. The beneficiaries will enter through the first room, where their ID and other personal details will be checked. After clearing this, the recipients will be sent to the second room, where the vaccine will be administered. The last room has been set up as a waiting lounge, where all beneficiaries will be spending approximately 30 minutes, post the immunization shot.
