The admission committee of Lucknow University has realigned the course-set up and application format for the incoming batch of varsity students. Reportedly, the university has decided to scrap BA (Hons) and BCom (Hons) and add their seats into the regular BA and BCom courses, respectively. As per the NEP prescription, these two courses will now run as 4-year programs at LU.

The committee has also approved the admission procedure for full-time or part-time PhD courses. For full-time PhDs, candidates will have to take an objective entrance test with 70 questions, interview and presentation. Additional 10 marks will be given to applicants who have qualified JRF and 5 marks to those who have NET or UPSET qualifications.

Meanwhile, no entrance tests will be conducted for any undergraduate or postgraduate courses which receive lesser applications than the allotted number of seats.
