Mega vaccination campaign to restart in Lucknow from August 3rd!

In a bid to boost the vaccination program in Lucknow, the authorities are re-initiating a mega vaccination campaign in the city on 3rd August. As a part of this initiative, the officials of the command centre and the CM Helpline facility will contact those who've been vaccinated only once, to take their second jab. Previously, mega inoculation drives were organised at Chhota Imambara, KD Singh Babu Stadium and Ekana Stadium but the dearth of vaccines caused a halt in the schedules.

Business & industrial organisations to be roped in for the collective effort

While reports have raised questions about the sufficient availability of the vaccines, the department officials have assured that the inventories will have increased stocks in August. As per the information given by Dr. NK Singh, the vaccination nodal officer, the upcoming schedules will be implemented from August 3rd and the process of identifying centres has also begun.

Notably, the authorities at Integrated Control and Command Center will try to ensure complete vaccination of singly inoculated beneficiaries by calling them. Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari has given detailed instructions in this regard on Thursday. He further affirmed that DMs should seek cooperation from business organizations and industrial establishments through focused meetings and deliberations. Given the unprecedented nature of the present times, a collective effort has become the need of the hour!

Over 2 crore vaccine jabs allotted to the state!

As per the officials, over 2 crore 85 thousand vaccine doses have been allotted to the state, which would be utilised in the coming months. Out of this, more than 1.54 crore jabs of the vaccine have been reserved for free administration at the government facilities while over 45 lakh doses will be available for the private sector.
