Lucknow University Unveils Ambitious 10-Year Vision Plan For Academic Excellence: Check Now
As part of its 10-year infrastructure vision plan, the prestigious Lucknow University (LU) is soon set to have an Ayurvedic healing garden, a herbarium, a butterfly park and a planetarium. Over the next decade, LU intends to roll out several such facilities on the campus, to maintain its top-ranking status.
Term-wise Infrastructure Goals To Be Followed
LU spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava was quoted saying, "LU has set up short-term, medium-term and long-term infrastructure goals to be achieved in the next 10 years. In the short-term goals spanning 0-3 years, the university aims to enhance essential infrastructure elements. This includes upgrading high-speed Internet connectivity to provide students and faculty with seamless access to online resources."
Further, as per the mid-term goals to be attained between the next 3 to 7 years, LU plans to curate a waste management system to promote environmental sustainability. Additionally, the focus will lie on creating state-of-the-art classrooms, equipped with latest technology.
On the other hand, the long-term goals for the next 7 to 10 years covers the construction of world-class auditorium complexes with cutting-edge facilities. Improvements and expansions of accommodation options are also to be focused upon, since the auditoriums will host academic and cultural events.
On-Campus Health Facilities To Be Prioritised
Another priority, according to Srivastava, is modernizing campus washrooms and strengthening health facilities. He mentioned sanitary pad machines and incinerators as examples of the expected enhanced facilities on the renowned Lucknow University campus. With such amenities, the university hopes to propel academic excellence and innovation.
