Late Wednesday night, panic spread through the area after a suspected jackal killed six goats belonging to a local shepherd. Paw prints were found at the scene, and forest officials are now working to track down the predator and eliminate the threat.

Lucknow struggles with dengue outbreak, 54 new cases recorded in 24 hrs
Lucknow is now struggling with increasing number of dengue and malaria cases. On Wednesday, 54 new dengue cases were reported, with the highest numbers in areas like Indiranagar (7), Chandernagar (8), and Aliganj (8). Other affected areas include Red Cross, Tudiaganj, Sarojininagar, and Chinhat with 4 cases each.
Authorities inspected 1,457 homes and issued notices to 8 where dengue larvae were found. LMC is further carrying out fogging in most of the areas to mitigate the outbreak.
