In a bid to boost Lucknow's sanitation infrastructure, Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) inaugurated a total of six toilets in the city. With the 'Water Plus' certification, these modern toilets have come up at Kapoorthala crossing, Tedhi Pulia, Chowk, Sangam intersection, Vikalp Khand, and Alambagh's Neighbourhood Park.

The Uttar Pradesh government received the highest share of tax devolution from the Central government, at ₹31,962 crore. This amount has been given to the state government out of the total allocation of ₹1,78,173 crore. After UP, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar received the highest share.

Responding to the sudden surge in dengue cases in Lucknow, government hospitals are adding beds to their reserved wards. Notably, dengue cases in the city have been on the spike lately, at an average of 100 more cases every two days. Residents have also been advised to take all necessary precautions.
