Alarming rise in dengue cases in Lucknow; Resident advised to exercise precaution

A sudden rise has been reported in dengue cases in Lucknow with over 500 people found to be positive in the last 10 days. With the demise of a 55-year-old woman in Jankipuram extension yesterday, the number of dengue fatalities has reached 5.

City's health administration has advised residents of the city exercise caution and visit a doctor at the slightest signs of the symptoms.

Fire department to send notices to warehouses after another fire incident in Lucknow

Another fire broke out in Lucknow on Monday, marking the fifth such incident in a month. This time, the incident occurred at a warehouse in Indira Nagar. No injuries were reported from the scene but a nearby parked automobile and scooter caught fire.

Leading up to Diwali, these instances at such frequency raise a serious safety concern for the city folks. Hence, the fire department is planning to send notices to warehouses across the city to exercise extra caution to avoid such incidents.

LMC to construct 10 crore 'Shakti Upvan' in Akbar Nagar

The Lucknow Municipal Corporation is planning to build a new 'Shakti Upvan' in Akbar Nagar. To be constructed at the cost of ₹10 crore, this new garden in the land recently cleared from encroachment will come up on area of 3.6 hectare.
