LMC to set up six control rooms to monitor AQI

With the onset of winter and the formation of a low-pressure zone, the city of Lucknow has already started witnessing a reduction in air quality even before Diwali. As per the weather indexes, the city reported an AQI of 202 as on Monday. To monitor the air quality within the city now the LMC will set up control rooms in six locations of the city, after which mitigation measures such as deploying sprinkling vehicles will be taken.

Lucknow hospitals report sharp surge in fever cases

The Lucknow hospitals are now reporting a 40% surge in fever cases. The increase in the cases is mostly attributed to the change in the season with temperature drop. In a bid to control the cases, the doctors are advising people to get flu shots. Furthermore, doctors are advising people to exercise caution against mosquitoes, maintain hygiene and avoid self-medication if they fall ill.

Advanced diabetes centre to open up in SGPGIMS this December

Diabetes is one of the most common chronic deseases affecting 11.4% of India's population while around 15% people suffer from pre-diabetic conditions. Now, SGPGIMS in Lucknow will soon house a specialized advanced diabetic centre, which will include all the facilities to treat all the underlying complications under one roof. The first of the kind centre will also have a total capacity of 40 beds and will be inaugurated on SGPGI's foundation day which falls in December.

LMC starts door to door waste segregation drive in the city

In an effort to heighten awareness about waste disposal, the Lucknow Municipal Corporation has initiated a comprehensive waste segregation campaign across multiple wards in Lucknow. Additionally, LMC teams are actively promoting and educating the public on the proper utilization of distinct bins for dry and wet waste with an additional emphasis on home composting.

Over 1.10 lac people registered under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission in Lucknow

Lucknow secured the top position among districts in Uttar Pradesh in the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) ranking, as assessed by the national health agency. Notably, Lucknow's achievement includes the issuance of over 1,10,000 Ayushman Bharat health cards and the registration of 297 healthcare professionals.

New Jaipur & Dehradun services now available from Lucknow bus stands

In response to passenger demand, bus services between Lucknow and Dehradun, as well as Jaipur, have been initiated by UPSRTC. The transport corporation has deployed two pairs of regular buses for this service. Buses will be available from the Kaiserbagh bus stand of the city to Dehradun and from Alambagh Bus Terminal to Jaipur.

Uttarakhand Mahotsav to start from today in Lucknow

The 3rd edition of Uttarakhand Mahotsav kicked off today, Oct 31. With food stalls featuring mouthwatering varieties of Garhwali and Kumaoni meals and snacks, handicraft stalls, festivities, cultural events and more, this event is set to continue till November 9, at the Uttarakhand Mahotsav Sthal, Gomti Riverfront, Near Khatu Shyam Mandir.
