Niloy’s journey began in a school choir, followed by college band gigs at prestigious campuses like IITs and NITs. His time in Delhi saw him form another band, taking him to Mumbai’s vibrant music circuit, where he even shared the stage with legends like Parikrama—twice!

Roy's musical roots trace back to his college days in Delhi, where he first explored his love for music through band performances. The pandemic became a turning point for Niloy, who embraced his solo musical journey with unwavering determination. Drawing inspiration from diverse musical icons like Guns N' Roses' electrifying stage presence, Lucky Ali's soulful approach, and Sonu Nigam's musical versatility, Roy crafts a unique sound that blends acoustic pop and folk elements.

Roy candidly discusses the challenges of the music industry, conquering internal creative blocks and navigating external hurdles like uncooperative event management. Yet, his dream remains crystal clear― building credibility and ultimately hosting a concert featuring his original compositions.

His recent performance at the La Flea Affair-Diwali Edition perfectly encapsulates his artistic spirit. One such gem is his song Ik Sahara, which holds special meaning for him. He performed it at the recent La Flea Affair—Diwali Edition in Lucknow, an experience he describes as “more than pleasant.” The joy of performing live? “It’s all about the audience’s first-hand reaction,” Niloy says.
