This Sunday may mark the end of an era at La Martiniere College, Lucknow, as the legendary "Sunday Bunday" tradition at the school’s iconic Tuck Shop, run by Nadeem Kazmi, could see its final day. For decades, Nadeem Bhai, as he's fondly known, has been at the heart of this cherished monthly ritual, serving students, alumni, and staff with warmth and a smile.

According to a post on a social media group, Nadeem Kazmi has decided to end his long-standing association with La Martiniere College. An alumnus from the 1986 batch, Nadeem Bhai, as he is fondly known, has been running the Tuck Shop and preserving the legacy passed down from his mother, Mrs. Khan, affectionately called Ma’am Bake. After more than 50 years of family association with the school’s Tuck Shop, Nadeem Bhai has chosen to step away, marking the end of this beloved chapter.

The "Sunday Bunday" – a monthly treat eagerly awaited by students and alumni alike – may soon become a cherished memory. Generations of Martinians fondly remember the joy of gathering at the Tuck Shop for fresh buns and snacks, an experience that transcended the simple act of eating and turned into a treasured tradition.

As Knocksense, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Nadeem Kazmi for his dedication and the irreplaceable role he has played in building the La Martiniere community. If this Sunday is truly the last "Sunday Bunday," it will be a bittersweet moment, but the memories will forever remain in the hearts of all who have experienced his warmth and generosity.

End of an era, but what a journey it’s been!
