Night curfew was reimposed in Uttar Pradesh in January when the state witnessed an unforeseen surge of COVID-19 cases in wake of the Omicron spread. At first, the curfew timings were from 10 PM to 6 AM which was later slashed by 2 hours, with the revised timings from 11 PM to 5 AM on February 13.
The order has been completely revoked now, amid the bettering scope of the pandemic situation. While there are no restrictions and protocols, people are advised to adhere to COVID-19 appropriate behaviour and wear a mask in public spaces.

While the COVID-19 situation is fluctuating in UP with respect to fresh cases, a higher recovery rate hints at strong recovery trends. The state's daily COVID load raised to 844 cases on Friday, up from 842 on Thursday, however, increased 1647 recoveries in the last 24 hours have helped curb the active load. As of Friday, UP's active COVID tallies stand at 8,683 along with a total of 20,30,997 recoveries.
While state capital Lucknow recorded 124 new cases of Friday, as opposed to Thursday’s tally of 105, pushing the total caseload to 2,91,291, case count dipped in other districts, flattening the COVID curve here. As per the health bulletin issued by the state, Kanpur recorded over 40 fresh cases on Friday, while Noida and Ghaziabad stood at 51 and 27 each, followed by Prayagraj at 23 cases. Meerut and Gorakhpur recorded 21 and 18 cases respectively.
