Ahead of 'Mahaparinirvan Din', traffic restrictions announced in Mumbai till December 7

Several roads in Mumbai have been declared 'No Parking' zones; check details here.

Ahead of the 67th death anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, known as 'Mahaparinirvan Din', traffic restrictions have been released from today. The restrictions will be around Shivaji Park because thousands of Dr. Ambedkar's followers are expected to visit the Chaitya Bhoomi from December 4 to December 7.

As part of the restrictions, entry for heavy vehicles will be completely restricted on the following roads:

  • SVS Road from Mahim Junction to Hardikar Junction

  • From Mahim Junction to Gadkari Junction on LJ Road

  • From Gadkari Junction to Dhanmil Naka on C. Gokhale Road

  • From Mahim Railway Station to Vadacha Naka

  • From Dadar TT Circle to Veer Kotwal Udyan on Tilak Bridge

Furthermore, some roads in Mumbai have been declared 'No Parking Zones'. These include Swatantra Veer Savarkar Road, Jambhekar Maharaj Road, MB Raut Road, Ranade Road, NC Kelkar Road, SH Palarkar Road, Pandurang Naik Road, Dr. Vasanthrao J Raath Road, DS Babrekar Road, Kirthi College Lane, Kashinath Dhuru Road, LJ Road, Katariya Road, Hindu Colony Road No. 1 to 5, Lakhamshi Napoo Road, Khareghat Road No. 5, Lady Jahangir Road, R.A. Kidwai Road, Nathalal Parekh Road, and Swami Gyan Jivandas Road.

To ensure convenience for visitors, alternative parking spots will be made available. These will include the Senapati Bapat Marg in Mahim and Dadar West, Kamagar Stadium, India Bulls International Center, India Bulls 1 Center, and Kohinoor Square.
