Apollo Hospitals, one of India's leading private healthcare providers, is set to expand its capacity by adding over 3,500 beds across 11 locations by FY26. This expansion, costing ₹6,100 crore, will involve a mix of greenfield, brownfield, and acquisition projects. Key new locations include Mumbai and Lucknow, with a combined investment of ₹1,625 crore over the next four years.

Of this budget, ₹1,700 crore has been earmarked for land acquisition, security deposits, and initial development, while the remaining ₹4,400 crore will be sourced from internal funds and accruals.

Major expansion plans in Mumbai & Lucknow

On Saturday, Apollo Hospitals signed an agreement to establish and manage a 500-bed hospital in Worli, Mumbai, with an estimated investment of ₹1,300 crore. This project will be executed through a build, operate, and manage agreement with the Konkan Unnati Mitra Mandal (KUMM). Apollo already operates a multi-speciality hospital in Navi Mumbai, supported by a comprehensive clinic network in the region.

In addition to the Mumbai expansion, Apollo Hospitals is expanding its Lucknow hospital by adding 200 beds, bringing the total number of beds to 500. This ₹325 crore project will take place on a 1.2-acre site adjacent to the current hospital and is expected to be completed within three years.
