Bettering travel plans, Railways to run 14 Special Trains b/w Mumbai's Panvel & Goa's Madgaon

Following the heavy rush of passengers during Christmas and New Year, Konkan Railway (KR) has decided to run 14 Christmas/New Year specials between Mumbai's Panvel and Goa's Madgaon from December 22-31. This includes twelve trips of Train No. 01427 and 014228 and two of Train No. 01429 and 30.

Moreover, the trains will constitute of 22 LHB coaches, including 6 AC 3-tier economy, 4 sleeper class, 12 general second class coaches and a guard’s brake van.

Train no. 01427 Panvel - Madgaon Jn Special:

• Departure Time: 09:10 PM (every Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

• Arrival Time: 06:50 AM (next day)

Train no. 01428 Madgaon - Panvel Special:

• Departure Time: 08:00 AM (every Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

• Arrival Time: 08:15 PM PM (same day)

On the journey, these trains will make scheduled halts at Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, and Karmali.

Further, to ring in the New Year, Train No. 01429/30 Panvel – Madgaon specials, will run two additional trips.

• Departure from Madgaon Jn. at 09:00 PM on January 1, 2024

• Arrival at Panvel at 07:20 AM (next day)

• Departure from Panvel at 08:20 AM on January 2, 2024

• Arrival at Madgaon Jn. at 09:30 PM (same day)

Bookings for trips of train No 01427 and 01429 have commenced since December 17, 2023, at all reservation counters and on the official website.
