Mumbaikars are in for a smoother journey to Pune within a year, with the ongoing construction of a groundbreaking cable-stayed bridge. This bridge is a part of the ₹6,695 crore missing link project along the Lonavala Ghat section. Despite facing hurdles like COVID and monsoon winds, the upcoming bridge promises to be an engineering marvel.

Once completed, it will slash travel time by half an hour, benefiting countless motorists commuting between the two bustling cities.

This iconic bridge, boasting four 182-meter tall pylons, will stand resilient against the valley's winds in the picturesque Tiger Valley of Lonavala. It promises to slash travel time by half an hour, offering a much-needed respite to thousands of commuters traversing between Mumbai and Pune daily.

The project also features Guinness World Record-winning twin tunnels spanning 47 meters over 10 lanes, unveiled last year. While the bridge's completion might extend until March next year from the initial July 2024 deadline, it is still a much-awaited development, promising quicker journeys.
