Since the beginning of time, there has been an endless stream of Bollywood productions dedicated to love and soulmates. One such film coming from the treasure trove of Bollywood is 'Manzil', shot in 1979. Further, it features Rimjhim Gire Sawan - a song by the maestro RD Burman, which encapsulates the emotions of dancing in the rain.

And now an elderly couple in Mumbai has recreated this famed song dressed like the film characters of Amitabh Bachchan and Moushumi Chatterjee, scene-by-scene and we can’t stop saying ‘awwwww’.

A beautiful cinematographic masterpiece

High on nostalgia, this video was shared by Mahindra Group Chairman, Anand Mahindra, on July 2. Since then, the video has crossed 15 million views with 25K likes, and people have been commenting how it inspired them to reminisce their monsoon romance.

One such Twitter user, Himanshu Baria, shared a picture of his grandparents and wrote, “Today morning I took a picture of my grandparents from backyard. They were busy settling a support for a plant (bottle gourd)at the age of 75 & 80 since monsoon has started.”

Another user expressed his gladness that not much has changed since 50 years and wrote, “Helps that South Bombay (as it was then) has not changed much in 50 years, except for cars on the road. Perfect weekend watch, super cute”.

Revealing the identity of the couple, Twitter user @snehashrins commented, “Couple's name is Shailendra Imandar and Vandana. Song is shot by Sandip Ringangaonkar and his wife Ankita."

Watching the video has surely spread warmth across our hearts!
