In an attempt to reduce congestion on Worli's Dr. Annie Besant Road, Mumbai Traffic Police has issued a formal notification declaring a stretch on the road as a 'No-Parking Zone'. Parking your vehicle on the stretch from Gaffar Khan Junction to Worli Naka, which often is the site of bumper-to-bumper traffic, will now be prohibited.

Parked vehicles worsen traffic on the stretch.

It is noteworthy that Dr. Annie Besant Road is one of the major routes that connects Worli Sea Face with several routes in South Mumbai. As a result, congestion on the road is a familiar sight, which is made worse by vehicles parked on the roadside.

Furthermore, one side of the Coastal Road route connecting Marine Drive to Worli is also expected to be thrown open for the public in December, this year. With that, commuters coming into Worli will have another route, which is sure to ease traffic congestion on several routes.
