In view of the deteriorating air quality, the Bombay High Court has slapped a partial ban on burning firecrackers in Mumbai till Diwali, i.e., November 12. According to the order, bursting of firecrackers will only be allowed from 7 PM to 10 PM. Furthermore, the court has also asked the administration to ensure strict implementation of the Mumbai Air Pollution Mitigation Plan.
