Mumbai Airport records 13.46 million passengers in Q1 2025, a 7% growth from last year
Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has reported a robust start to the Financial Year (FY) 2025, welcoming over 13.46 million passengers in First Quarter (Q1). This marks a notable 7% increase compared to last year's 12.49 million, according to an ANI report
Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) disclosed that international travel saw 3.7 million passengers, while domestic flights served 9.7 million passengers during this quarter. The quarter began with 4.3 million passengers in April, followed by 4.7 million in May, and 4.39 million in June, reflecting sustained demand for air travel from Mumbai. Interestingly, the highest single-day traffic was recorded on May 18, with 163,166 travellers passing through the airport.
Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad emerged as top domestic destinations, with over 6.9 million passengers. Meanwhile Dubai, Singapore, and London led international routes, with Dubai alone catering to more than 0.61 million passengers.
Moreover, CSMIA handled a total of 59,775 domestic and 21,519 international Air Traffic Movements (ATMs) during this period, reflecting a 4% increase from Q1 FY2023-24.
