Mumbai Police issues traffic restrictions from Sep 8-16; check routes to avoid during Bandra Fair
On September 3, the Mumbai Police issued traffic restrictions around Mount Mary Church in Bandra West, as the city gears up for Bandra Fair 2024. These restrictions will be in place from September 8-16, during the tenure of the fair.
Every year, thousands of devotees flock to pray at Mother Mary Church and visit the Bandra Fair—an iconic event brimming with stalls and festivities. With such a grand turnout, the roads around Mount Mary get a bit congested. To ensure everything flows smoothly, keep the following restricting in mind and plan your routes accordingly!
Traffic Restrictions around Bandra Fair
These roads will be closed for all vehicles except the ones with car passes issued by the police, and emergency vehicles, from 6 AM to 11 PM.
One Way/No Entry
Mount Mary Road and St. John Baptista Road will be closed for all types of vehicles.
Kane Road will be a one-way lane, starting from its junction at Mount Mary Road till its B. J. Road junction.
Pereira Road will be one-way, from east to west, i.e. no entry from B.J. Road.
Right turn will be closed for all vehicles at Carmel Church Chapel.
Restrictions around Bandra from 6 AM to 11 PM
Parking or halting of all vehicles except for picking up or alighting people, will be banned on both sides of the roads mentioned below, from 6 AM to 11 PM.
