A recent Traffic Quality Index (TQI) report has shed light on India's urban traffic challenges, with Mumbai emerging as the second most congested city in the country. The financial capital scored 787 on the TQI scale, trailing only behind Bengaluru, which topped the list with a score between 800 and 1000.

The study, presented at the Mobility Symposium hosted by employee commute solutions provider Move In Sync, places Mumbai ahead of other major metropolitan areas. Delhi and Hyderabad follow closely, with scores of 747 and 718 respectively.

As urban planners and city officials grapple with solutions, the TQI report serves as a stark reminder of the pressing need for improved traffic management strategies in India's commercial hub.
