Starting from today, September 20, 2024, the Dharamveer Swarajya Rakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Marg, popularly known as Mumbai's Coastal Road, is now open daily for commuters from 7 AM to midnight. Both northbound and southbound routes will be accessible, offering a new transportation artery for the city.

However, strict regulations are in place to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow. Certain vehicles, including heavy goods carriers, trailers, two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and animal-drawn vehicles, are prohibited from using the coastal road. Additionally, stopping, disembarking, or taking photos along the route is forbidden, with legal action facing any violators. Walking along the road is also not allowed, ensuring a smooth and safe commute for all.

The road comprises two main sections: the southbound carriageway stretches from Bindu Madhav Thackeray Junction to Marine Drive, while the northbound route runs from Marine Drive to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link.

Commuters can now enjoy this new transportation option, but they must adhere to the rules to maintain order and safety on this important coastal thoroughfare.
