Traffic in Mumbai to remain affected due to VVIP movement

Mumbai traffic police issued a fresh notification regarding slower traffic movement in the city due to the VVIP visit.

Mumbai traffic police on Saturday issued fresh traffic regulations for September 5 (Monday), owing to the VVIP movement in the city. Reportedly, the vehicular movement in some areas including, Haji Ali, Kemps Corner, Malabar Hill and more is expected to witness slow traffic.

VVIP movement in Mumbai to affect traffic

As per Mumbai Police's Twitter handle, traffic in the following regions will be slow at different intervals across the city due to the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

  • The said restrictions on traffic movement are already in force in Mahalaxmi Race Course, Saat Rasta, Chinchpokli Junction, Lalbaug, Parel, Lotus Junction, Worli Dairy, Worli Sea Link, Haji Ali, Kemps Corner, Malabar Hill, Babulnath and Lilavati Junction and will remain affected till 12:30 PM.

  • From 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, vehicular movement along the areas including, Malabar Hill, Girgaon Chowpatty, Marine Drive, Regal Junction and Colaba, will be affected.

  • From 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, traffic will be diverted on the Marol to Powai route.

Traffic police has also advised the commuters to plan their journey accordingly. If you have a flight or train to catch, make sure to leave accordingly to be on time.
